Overview¶
This guide covers mobile-optimized workflows for common warehouse operations. The Zora Tech mobile app is designed for touch-based interactions and camera barcode scanning on the warehouse floor.
Mobile-First Design
These workflows are specifically designed for mobile devices. While you can perform these tasks on desktop, the mobile experience is faster and more efficient for warehouse operations.
Receiving on Mobile¶
Complete receiving workflow optimized for mobile devices.
Quick Steps¶
- Open Receiving from bottom navigation
- Select receiving order from queue
- Tap "Start Receiving"
- Scan product barcodes
- Enter quantities received
- Handle serial/lot numbers if required
- Tap "Complete Receiving"
Detailed Workflow¶
Step 1: Access Receiving Queue
- Tap Receiving icon in bottom navigation (📦)
- View list of pending receiving orders
- Tap an order to open details
Step 2: Start Receiving
- Review expected items
- Tap "Start Receiving" button
- Camera activates for barcode scanning
Step 3: Scan Products
- Point camera at product barcode
- System auto-scans when barcode detected
- Product details display automatically
- Enter quantity using number pad
- Tap "Add to Cart"
Step 4: Serial/Lot Entry (If Required)
- System prompts for serial/lot numbers
- Scan serial numbers or type manually
- For lots: Enter lot number and expiration date
- Tap "Save" to continue
Step 5: Complete
- Review all items in cart
- Verify quantities are correct
- Tap "Complete Receiving"
- Confirmation message displays

Picking on Mobile¶
Order picking workflow optimized for mobile devices.
Quick Steps¶
- Open Orders from bottom navigation
- Select order or pick list
- Navigate to first location
- Scan location to confirm
- Scan product barcode
- Confirm quantity picked
- Move to next item
- Complete pick list
Detailed Workflow¶
Step 1: Access Pick List
- Tap Orders or Picking icon in bottom navigation
- View assigned pick lists
- Tap a pick list to start
Step 2: Navigate to Location
- System shows first pick location
- Walk to the location
- Scan location barcode to confirm you're at correct spot
Step 3: Scan Product
- Scan product barcode
- System verifies it matches expected SKU
- If wrong product scanned, warning displays
Step 4: Confirm Quantity
- System shows quantity needed
- Enter quantity picked using number pad
- If picking less than required, note reason
- Tap "Confirm"
Step 5: Handle Serial Items (If Required)
- For serial-tracked items, scan each serial number
- System validates serial numbers
- Move items to staging/packing area
Step 6: Next Item
- System advances to next item automatically
- Shows next location and product
- Repeat until all items picked
Step 7: Complete Pick List
- Review pick summary
- Tap "Complete Pick List"
- Items move to packing status

Quick Search¶
- Tap Search icon or field
- Type product SKU or name
- View instant results
- See quantities by location
Barcode Search¶
- Tap camera icon in search
- Scan product barcode
- System shows all locations with this product
- View available quantity
Location Search¶
- Search for location code (e.g., "A-01-A")
- View all products in that location
- See quantities and product details

Inventory Adjustments on Mobile¶
Adjust inventory quantities from mobile device.
Quick Steps¶
- Open Inventory from menu
- Search for product
- Tap "Adjust Quantity"
- Select location
- Enter new quantity
- Select reason code
- Tap "Save Adjustment"
When to Use¶
- Cycle counting - update quantities after count
- Found items - add discovered inventory
- Damages - remove damaged goods
- Corrections - fix data entry errors

Accuracy Important

Cycle Counting on Mobile¶

- Open Cycle Count from menu
- Select assigned count task
- Navigate to location
- Scan location barcode
- Count physical items
- Enter counted quantities
- System compares to expected
- Resolve discrepancies

Best Practices¶
Before Counting: - Clear workspace for accurate count - Ensure good lighting - Have access to product barcodes
During Counting: - Count carefully - don't rush - Recount if unsure - Note any issues (damaged items, misplaced stock)
After Counting: - Review any discrepancies - Recount high-value items if different - Note reasons for variances
Location Transfers on Mobile¶
Move inventory between locations using mobile.

- Open Inventory Transfers from menu
- Scan or select product
- Scan FROM location barcode
- Enter quantity to move
- Scan TO location barcode
- Confirm transfer
- Move physical items

Working Offline¶

Using Offline Mode¶
- App automatically detects offline status

Troubleshooting Mobile Issues¶

Tablets: - Screen size: 8-10" - Good for stationary receiving stations - Larger buttons easier to tap - Better for viewing multiple items
